Stapling & Stitching explores the impact of time upon memory. Stapling became a metaphor for a significant childhood memory of hemming my school uniform with staples. It was soon revealed that the memory was in fact my mother's story  told to me when I was little. The realisation that the memory was not my own was incredibly disorientating. This perplexing effect of time upon memory is evoked through a rust dye process.
